I think I did a good job with this bread even though it looks funny.  Definitely making it again.  It was white, soft and warm (don’t know why that sounds weird in my head).  Anyways, link to the recipe below.  Wasn’t hard to make at all.

Prepared a nice salad for lunch to help me with my ‘getting fit’.  The mayo and soy sauce give it a nice taste.  Recipe by Harumi Kurihara.

Cooked from my Harumi Kurihara cook book (Everyday Harumi : Simple Japanese Food For Family & Friends).  Definitely a good recipe especially with the flavour of the marinade and I’v used it after this with fish and chicken.

I had some nice oriental type food at Cha Cha Moon in Central London.  The udon especially was my favourite but was too small for my liking.  Seriously, what is up with British restaurants serving small food?

Nigella's chocolate raspberry heart cake

A good idea for Vals or if you’re just hungry

Not long ago I made this wonderful cake from my Nigella cookbook and I have to mark it as one of her best recipes I’ve made to date.

I never knew chocolate and raspberries go so well together.  The chocolate has this sweet dark heavy taste in your mouth while the raspberry is cool, wet and a little bit tangy.

Wait, that’s not all.  The middle of the cake has a raspberry whip cream filling.  It’s not a sweet filling but it compliments the cake very well.

If I’ve tempted you enough here’s the recipe.

Burger and chips- Outsidein restaurant

I recently had dinner with a couple of friends of mine at the OutsideIn restaurant at Beales hotel in Hatfield.  Was actually a going away dinner for my friend Lam Lam and she was paying (which is always great….free food).

Anyways, the hotel restaurant had a nice interior design (forgot to take pictures) but its food menu was quite dry.  I couldn’t find anything exotic.  Every food had either potatoes or steak.  I really didn’t mind that but shit the food was expensive even if I wasn’t the one paying.  £15.00 – £25.00 for a standard plate.

I had a burger and chips and they were just okay.  Chips were nice and chunky but the burger was so dry.  No nice dripping sauce in it or juicy meat that you could taste the spice and the char grill.

Today was a good day.  It was a good day not just because of my lovely friend Bimbo who had her graduation but because she took us out for lunch to Zizzi.

I’ve come across Zizzi so many times and not bothered to go in cause it just looked like plain old Italian food but I was wrong.  As I said before the its an Italian restaurant and I’ve got to say the food was GREAT!  Highly recommended.
